Link Analytics
Read Linkyhost view totals, unique visitors, time series, referrers, countries, browsers, devices, and Business exports.
Open analytics for a link
- Open the dashboard.
- Select the link's personal or team workspace.
- Choose Analytics from the link actions.
Analytics are available on Pro and Business plans. Free workspaces do not show the Analytics action, but visits to their links are still tracked, so available history can be viewed after upgrading. Any current member of a Pro or Business team can view its link analytics; edit permissions are separate.
Metrics on the page

Some older views or privacy-limited requests can appear as Unknown or have no referrer. Geographic data appears only when the request includes a usable country signal. Legacy and current browser and device records use the same classifications.
How to interpret the numbers
Link analytics help answer questions such as:
- Did the audience open the link after a campaign or email?
- Which referrers contribute the most traffic?
- Are visitors mainly on mobile or desktop?
- Is a link receiving unexpected traffic?
They do not prove a person's identity. Several people can share a network, one person can switch networks or devices, browsers can withhold referrers, and automated clients can affect raw view counts. Treat unique visitors as an estimate. The link list and analytics page use the same visitor-counting method; when comparing them, select All time on the analytics page.
Analytics describe requests to the link. They are not delivery receipts, identity verification, or evidence that a person read every page of a document.
Use the time controls
Select:
- 7 days for a recent launch or send;
- 30 days for a monthly trend; or
- All time for all available history.
The selected period applies to views, estimated unique visitors, the chart, referrers, countries, browsers, devices, and CSV exports. The lifetime total is shown separately for context.
Days use UTC. The 7-day and 30-day ranges include today and the preceding 6 or 29 calendar days, through the time the data was loaded. The current day is still in progress.
History and coverage
Detailed records are limited to the latest 5,000 views per link. When older records are no longer available, the dashboard labels incomplete coverage instead of presenting those details as a complete lifetime breakdown. Unique visitors, source and device breakdowns, and CSV exports can therefore cover fewer visits than the lifetime total.
Daily view totals are preserved separately as new visits arrive. They can remain available after the corresponding detailed records are removed. Previously removed records cannot be recovered; the page indicates when historical coverage is incomplete.
Export analytics as CSV
Business workspaces can select Export CSV on the analytics page. Team links use the team owner's plan, so current members of a Business team can export its links. The export uses the selected date range and contains one retained view per row with:
Date,Referrer,Country,UserAgent,Device
The filename includes the selected range. A partial suffix means some detailed records for that period are unavailable. Daily aggregate totals cannot be reconstructed into individual CSV rows.
The file can be opened in spreadsheet or analytics software. Export before deleting or expiring a link if you need to keep a separate record; link deletion also removes its analytics.
Free monthly views
Analytics totals and the Free serving allowance are related but serve different purposes. Free includes 200 monthly views and has a 250-view hard cutoff for that owner during the monthly period. The lifetime total on an individual link does not reset when the monthly allowance resets.

If analytics look empty or different
- Open the public URL successfully before expecting a new view.
- Allow a short delay and refresh the analytics page.
- Use Retry if the page reports a temporary loading error.
- Expect direct traffic when a browser or app removes the referrer.
- Expect Unknown country for requests without geographic headers.
- Confirm you opened the correct link and workspace.
- Remember that privacy-preserving unique counts may not equal real people exactly.
- Check the selected date range and any history-coverage notice before comparing totals or exports.
