Terms of Service

Welcome to Linkyhost. These Terms of Service govern your use of our link shortening and file hosting platform. By using our services, you agree to these terms in full.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Linkyhost services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our services.

Service Description

Linkyhost provides:

  • URL shortening and link management services
  • File hosting and sharing capabilities
  • Analytics and tracking for your links
  • Custom domain support for premium users
  • API access for developers and businesses
  • A form builder that hosts HTML forms and stores submissions on your behalf

Linkyhost Forms

Our form builder lets you publish a form to a Linkyhost subdomain and collect responses in your dashboard. When you publish a form, you are the data controller for the responses you receive. Linkyhost is a data processor. You are responsible for any notice, consent, or other obligations required by applicable law when you collect personal data from submitters.

Free and Pro limits

  • Free tier: up to 50 submissions per form per calendar month. The form displays a small "Powered by Linkyhost" badge.
  • Pro tier: up to 500 submissions per form per calendar month. No badge. Password protection available on the form itself.
  • Submissions over the monthly cap are rejected until the next month.
  • Responses are shown in your in-product dashboard. Linkyhost does not send per-submission emails; you check the dashboard to see new responses.

Retention

  • Default retention is 90 days. You can change it to 7, 30, 90, or 365 days from the form's dashboard.
  • When the retention period passes, submissions are deleted automatically.
  • When you delete a form or your account, submissions are deleted immediately.

Prohibited form content

You may not publish a Linkyhost-hosted form that asks for, or encourages submitters to provide:

  • Passwords or other account credentials
  • Payment details (credit-card numbers, CVV, bank-account or routing numbers)
  • National ID numbers (SSN, TFN, NINO, etc.)
  • Cryptocurrency recovery phrases, seed phrases, or private keys
  • PINs or security answers

We block these fields at publish time based on labels and field names. We also scan submission values at submit time for Luhn-valid card numbers, SSN patterns, crypto recovery phrases, and similar high-signal content, and auto-pause forms that trip our thresholds. You may still download the HTML from our form builder and host it on your own infrastructure; these restrictions apply only to forms hosted on Linkyhost.

Abuse and takedown

Forms that violate these terms, our acceptable-use policy, or applicable law may be paused, deleted, or accompanied by the suspension of the owner's account under our existing abuse-response policy. Submitters may request deletion of their own submissions at linkyhost.com/forms/request-deletion without contacting the form owner.

Link Retention

  • Links stay live while your account is active
  • Inactive accounts may have links archived after extended inactivity
  • Deleted links are removed permanently

User Accounts and Responsibilities

Account Creation

  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security
  • One person or entity may not maintain multiple accounts
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use our services

Account Usage

  • You are responsible for all activity under your account
  • You must not share your account credentials
  • You must notify us immediately of any security breaches
  • We reserve the right to suspend accounts for violations

Acceptable Use Policy

Permitted Uses

  • Creating shortened links for legitimate purposes
  • Hosting and sharing files within our guidelines
  • Using our API within documented rate limits
  • Commercial use in accordance with your plan limits

Prohibited Uses

You may not use Linkyhost to:

  • Host or link to illegal, harmful, or malicious content
  • Engage in spam, phishing, or fraudulent activities
  • Violate intellectual property rights
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Circumvent our security measures or rate limits
  • Impersonate others or provide false information

Content Guidelines

Your Content

  • You retain ownership of content you upload or link to
  • You grant us license to host and display your content
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to your content
  • You must comply with applicable laws and regulations

Content Removal

We may remove content for abuse or violation of these terms. We reserve the right to remove content that:

  • Violates these terms or our policies
  • Infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Is reported as harmful or inappropriate
  • Poses security risks to our platform or users
  • Constitutes spam, harassment, or abusive behavior

Service Availability and Limitations

Service Level

  • We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee availability
  • Scheduled maintenance may cause temporary service interruptions
  • We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features
  • Performance may vary based on your subscription plan

Usage Limits

  • File size limits apply based on your account type
  • Fair use bandwidth limits apply to all accounts
  • Bandwidth and storage limits vary by plan
  • API rate limits prevent abuse and ensure fair usage
  • We may impose additional limits to maintain service quality

Payment Terms

Subscription Plans

  • Premium features require paid subscriptions
  • Billing occurs monthly or annually as selected
  • Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice
  • All fees are non-refundable unless required by law

Payment Processing

  • We use third-party payment processors
  • You agree to their terms and conditions
  • Failed payments may result in service suspension
  • You are responsible for all applicable taxes

Privacy and Data Protection

Termination

By You

  • You may terminate your account at any time
  • Paid subscriptions continue until the end of the billing period

By Us

We may terminate or suspend accounts for:

  • Violation of these terms or our policies
  • Non-payment of fees when due
  • Suspected fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Extended periods of inactivity

If we suspend or terminate your account for a violation of these terms or for suspected fraudulent or illegal activity, you are not entitled to a refund of any prepaid fees, including the unused portion of an annual subscription, except to the extent a refund is required by law.

Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia
  • Disputes will be resolved in the courts of the Commonwealth of Australia
  • You agree to submit to personal jurisdiction

Alternative Resolution

  • We encourage resolving disputes through direct communication
  • Mediation may be used before formal legal proceedings
