Form Builder FAQ

What is a form builder?

A form builder is a tool that lets you create forms visually without writing code. You add fields like text, email, or dropdown, set labels, publish to a shareable link, and collect responses in your dashboard.

What kinds of fields can I add?

Short text, email, phone, number, long text (textarea), dropdown select, radio buttons, and checkboxes. Each field can be marked required and given a placeholder.

How do I see form responses?

When you publish a form, we give you a dashboard at linkyhost.com/dashboard/forms where every submission shows up in real time — refresh to see the latest. You can export responses to CSV, pause the form, or delete it at any time.

What fields can't I use?

Fields that collect passwords, credit cards, SSN, bank/routing numbers, crypto recovery phrases, or private keys. These are almost exclusively used for phishing and we block them at publish time. If you need to collect sensitive data, use a purpose-built compliant service — not a free form hosting tool.

Is the form builder really free?

Yes. Build forms and publish them for free. Free tier includes 50 submissions per form per month with a small "Powered by Linkyhost" badge on the form. Pro ($9/mo or $50/yr) raises the cap to 500/mo, removes the badge, and unlocks password protection on the form.

Can I edit my form later?

You can edit the title, description, submit-button label, and retention settings from the form dashboard. Field changes are done by rebuilding the form in the builder and re-publishing — this keeps the stored schema and submitted payloads in sync.
